FFA ANOUNCEMENTS

        • Upcoming February FFA Events! 
          • 2/14 - 2/28
            • SLC APPLICATIONS (2/14) - Applications for State Leadership conference was due this Valentine's. If you are late to submitting or have further questions about what exactly this trip is about, please email Ms. Payan at dpayan@missionprep.org. 
            • DEGREE APPLICATIONS (2/21) - If you are a first or second year within our FFA program, you can apply for either a Greenhand or Chapter Degree. These degrees look great on your resume and leave a lasting impression on your character. If you are a first year, you will apply for the Greenhand Degree and if you are a second year, you will apply for the Chapter Degree. Both of these applications are due February 21st. If you are interested in applying, please fill out the following survey below:
            • BBQ Chapter Degree Meeting (2/24) - Come join our chapter with some fun backyard games and tasty barbeque! This will be at MCP from 1:00-3:00 PM on February 24th.  You will earn 1 FFA Point for attending, and extra points are TBD.
            • FFA Barn Dance (2/28) - To close out the month of February, we're having a fun barnyard dance down in Nipomo with all of neighboring chapters. The dance is from 6:00-8:00 PM, but they will be teaching a dance around 5:30 if anyone is interested in learning before the dance. Anyone attending will earn around 2-3 FFA Points. The venue is located in horse pasture-y area, so please dress accordingly. If you have any further questions, please email Ms. Payan at dpayan@missionprep.org.
        • Miscellaneous Dates/Announcements
          • March Madness Chapter Meeting (3/6) - This is our first official March Chapter Meeting, so mark your calendars! More information will be released as we get closer to the date.
          • Rotary Tree Planting (3/7) - Due to all the rain, the second opportunity to join the Rotary tree club has been pushed up to March 7th. It will still be in the same location and same time but be prepared for further delay.
          • State Leadership Conference (3/21-3/24) - This is an amazing opportunity to master your leadership skills and bond with your fellow FFA members. This is 4-day commitment, and you will be missing 2 days of school. So, if you were interested in attending, please make sure to communicate this with your teachers and develop a plan with your schoolwork. More info about this event will be released as we get deeper into March!
